We kick off the new year in style with an exclusive podcast by Sebastian Mullaert, better known for his groupMinilogue that he founded with Marcus Henriksson back in 2000. Although the duo began its career by focusing on genres such as progressive house or psy-trance (under the monikers Son Kite and Trimatic), another facet of their talent will eventually be revealed with their releases on Traum Schallplatten, Crosstown Rebels or Wagon Repair between 2005 and 2007. They’ve chosen to edit the Krautrock-influenced “Nightclubbing” from Iggy Pop’s seminal 1977 Lp “the Idiot”. Preeminent Ghostly artist Matthew Dear is set to follow up last year’s Black City LP with a new offering of locked-groove pop called Headcage, a four-song EP that arrives ahead of his forthcoming Beams full-length on January 17. The title track kicks off the new bunch of tunes, showcasing the veteran producer’s penchant for funky dancefloor sounds and baritone vocal hooks. Coming from Calais (north of France), Bo’ alias Monsieur Nopac started djing in the early 90’s. He moved then quickly into production and created his own label ‘Labo Music‘. He’s the author of several re-mixed tracks for the italian net-label ‘Barfog’. He appears, in 2005, on Redevice’s first compilation besides Jay Haze, JPLS, Bern and others, then in 2007 on Kreatur Musik with David Labeij, Franco Cangelli. In 2008 on the berliner label Haknam, he releases Cut Coda, and a remix for Macgregor in 2011 on Plastic records.
