Description
Guest from our last but not least podcast, Dginia discovers electronic music with ambiant and for us we discover him on the chill out scene at Astropolis this year. He digs his production skills between the genre of groove and ambiant since 1996, and begins on Amiga and his legendary Protracker. He now produce with software from the more classical to the more strange.
He begins as a DJ in the late nineties in Lorient and works enough to play in Berlin. Producing beats don’t go and he follows his career with some live acts in Kreuzberg. Back in France he owns the price of the best live of the Astropolis’ newbies in 2005.
Fond of minimal dub from the likes of Basic Channel and Maurizio, seduced by german works of Thomas Brinkmann for example, he loves broken jazz, drum’n’bass and catchy pimped beats. He eats every Ninja Tune releases and even more Flako’s abstract hip hop, especially Flying Lotus, Dimlite or The Clounious though.
Melt together, those influences leds to a kind of minimal groove, something deep, something noisy, great pads added on this. We could tell that there ‘s something we could compare to Mount Kimbie, and we’re loving it !
