Biography

Half-Swedish/half British artist Leif is based in the UK. In the past few years, Leif has forged a reputation within the underground scene for his trademark sound – a blend of minimal house that encompasses elements of deep dubby tech-house, bleepy minimalism, delicate chord soundscapes and enough chicago-house style shuffle to to keep the dancefloor moving.

Leif co-runs UK-based label Trimsound with Tom Ellis. Since 2003, Leif has accumulated releases and remixes on worldwide labels such as Moon Harbour, Morris Audio, Fear of Flying, Frankie recs, Thinner, Mindtours, Telegraph, Logistic, Archipel, Floppy Funk and of course his own label Trimsound; with more releases always in the pipeline. His works have been remixed by the likes of Tom Ellis, Martinez, Two Armadillos, Polder, Jens Bond, Pheek and T-Polar… DJ support has been there from the start from the likes of Daniel Bell, Akufen, Richie Hawtin, Magda, Laurent Garnier and many more.

Leif’s music has taken him all over the world including Tokyo, London, Budapest, Munich, Franfurt, Amsterdam, Gothenburg and many many more locations. He’s known for his dancefloor-freindly DJ sets, which can span a wide variety of sounds from deep dubby microhouse through to jackin chicago house and minimal techno, and also performs live with Tom Ellis as “Trimsound Live”, including live hardware, bass guitar and Conga drums.
