Can’t help but wonder if Sei A, Glaswegian electronic maestro, is a fan of The Office’s original UK incarnation, as one of the most excellent episodes of the series featured a training video called Who Cares Wins. Regardless of where it came from, “Who Dares Wins” is probably the kind of mantra that you want to latch onto—pitting you against, not your better judgment, but a cloud of fear preempting you to back off of chance. There is an ominous value to the production Sei A’s thrown onto this, creating a dichotomy between the super posi vibes of the lyrics and the storm cloud hanging over the beat. Extra affective.
