50th podcast, important figure. Who else that one of the most marking artists of the last decade for this very episode ? Krikor is a real dabbler, and he is quite good at it as each one of his projects is an unconcealed success. We can easily say that today he is one of the artists that cannot be ignored on the French electronic scene… Whether it is alone, or with the Dead Hillbillies, or his collaboration with Ark in 2004, and above all with Chloé since 2008 as Plein Soleil, Krikor has never disappointed. And this most certainly makes him one of our favourite artists at Trace A Line… It was then quite logical that we would end up asking him out for our podcast series one day or another. Note that he is currently working on a new EP, and also a second long length project, solo this time, after the quite krautrocky « Land of Truth » in 2009. This is a good omen for the forthcoming months…
Concerning the mix, Krikor let his inspiration sail among disco and techno, just alike Kill The DJ’s most beautiful days, which he is obviously very close to… He switches between Mark E, Omar S or Moodyman with no pain, and no need to point out his skills, his set is simply beyond reproach. The kind of hour we’d like to hear more often… And if ever you wanted to see him in flesh, note that tomorrow, Thursday 16th he will be at Chez Moune in Paris for the Mobylette #5 with Jackson, and all of this for free… Now let the music speak.
