(TAL060) Plaisir De France

Description

All Saints’ Day’s coming, so here are some flowers to drop on your late next of kin’s graves. These are certainly not chrisantemums, but this week’s mix is actually far from being funeral, as it’s Julien fromPlaisir de France who took care of it… Alike Pilooski, Julien is very fond of edits, and refuses to stay in only one genre… That’s exactly why he created the band Slove last year, with Leo Hellden, half of Aswefall and also bass player from Tristesse Contemporaine (whose album is due on Dirty for early 2012). One might as well say that knowing these two guys, we were allowed to have huge expectations regarding Slove’s album’s quality. And they didn’t disappoint us, the album Le Danse is available since October 17th and has to be part of your collection, we can’t ask you anything else but to buy it.

But let’s get back to today’s topic, Plaisir de France, we knew that this guy was a huge fan of eclectical mixes, playing uninhibitedly indie and more brutal techno, and giving all this a quite fantastic cohesion… And this is indubitably what we are offering you this week with this 60th podcast, that comes with a hypnotic touch that we really appreciate at Trace A Line, but you might already know this…
