Description

Moritz Piske takes his upfront mix of deep house and techno straight to the dance floor. His DJ sets maintain a thick vibe that keeps the guys rocking and the ladies grooving, inviting his listeners to dance with swinging beats and challenging rhythms. Piske has been invited to share his sound at festivals across Europe such as Nature One and Soundtropolis Poland.

He started his music career at the age of seven, when he learned to play the guitar. He went on to play lead guitar for rock, ska, and punk bands. Piske was exposed to techno music in the Rhein-Main region and decided soon afterward that this was his new direction. Following his first sets as a DJ, he released his first twelve inch, “Rohr”, with Schieber Productions in 2005. His debut immediately caught the media’s attention and earned him gigs nationwide.

In 2006, he left his small hometown of Siegen and moved to Berlin, where he released “Ein Känguruh im Clubraum” on Opossum Recordings, which became his home label. Several other releases and remixes followed. His 2009 smash hit “Real One” on Opossum found its way into the crates, charts, and hearts of tastemakers worldwide, with massive support and a slew of successful remixes to follow.

The direct and unyielding sounds of his first releases have since been developed and refined as Piske’s signature. With more booming bass and floor-rocking hooks on the way, Piske’s sound won’t stop.
