Mulder, born as Willem de Mulder, is a 28 years old dj & producer from the southern part of The Netherlands. Very early in his youth he got acquainted with, and fell in love straight away, drums and percussion, a love which inspired him to make music himself and even brought him to the Academy of Music years later.
Long before his college years began, Mulder started experimenting with dj-ing and got inspired by the growth and development of techno.

After Mulder mastered spinning skills, he decided to produce tracks. His hugely developed rhythm combined with the technical en theoretical knowhow he gained during his college years, have turned out to be a profound starting point for his productions. This resulted in the releases ‘4Sure EP’ and ‘Nice One EP’ on Daniel Sanchez’ BlaBla label in 2009 which were supported by legends such as Richie Hawtin, Marco Corola, Karotte(“original is a bomb”), Radioslave(“sounds awesome!”) Josh Wink and Steve Bug. Undoubtedly more tracks will follow that his peers will use in their live sets in the future!

Mulder’s sound defies itself by percussion, but even more by versatility. Groove and musicality always have the upper hand. His next release on BlaBla called ‘Keep going EP’ is planned for this April and promises to be a big one! Under the name of his alter ego ‘Second Floor’ he will release a new record on Michel de Hey’s label early this summer. Furthermore two remixes will come out on Ronan Portela’s Unlock Recordings and Cray1 Labworks.

With these new releases coming up and a tour schedule getting busier and busier, Mulder is a promising talent for now and the future. Be sure to keep an eye on him!

When Dylan Hermelyn (2000 and One), head of the 100% Pure and Remote Arealabels heard ‘Mumbling yeah’ for the first time, he immediately signed Daniel for his brand new Area Remote label.

Although ‘Mumbling yeah’ is Sanchez’ first record, he’s been around for quite some time and made his name as a dj, party organiser and as one of the key figures of the burgeoning Amsterdam minimal and techno scene. His successful Rotzooii and Blabla parties – held amongst others in Studio 80, Stubnitz, Bunker and Westerunie – are among the best underground-events Amsterdam has to offer.

But with ‘Mumbling yeah’ one of the best selling singles of 2007, Sanchez now focuses more time on his production and dj career.

Daniel proves to be a firm head honcho of the rising-star Bla Bla Recordings and Bla Bla and Rotzooii events. Check him out at upcoming events including Bla Bla 3 Years Anniversary (together with e.g. Karotte) and Rotzooii 5 Years Anniversary.

Furthermore will be releasing his new EP in the 2nd week of February.

And what’s there to say about the Leiden based DJ/organiser at this time? He’s still just your average guy that loves to play electronic dance music dated from the late seventies till present day. Dica likes to play long sets in which he can combine disco with acid, italo, electro, [chicago/detroit]house and other obscurities not suitable for the narrowminded. Dica also spins his tunes under the name of Klaus Bonnewitz. Aware of the fact that the music industry has been digitalised, he plays vinyl only.

After working in the music industry for several years and with the knowledge of a lot of different styles of music, he decided to buy his own turntables. His first gig in France was a big success and was a motivation to keep on spinning and buying records. That time he loved progressive house the most and loved to play long and deep sets. In 2004 he was asked to play for Island Vibes, an organisation from Nijmegen. He played a set that made the crowd go crazy and became a resident DJ for the organisation. After playing more and more gigs, he created his own style; progressive combined with breakbeat, tech house, electro and techno, with just one goal: to make as many people dance as possible at the best records he can find. He often plays for Island Vibes, at Doornroosje in Nijmegen and is also resident DJ for So Much Love To Give, another concept in Nijmegen. Since this year he organises his own parties called Spring Breaks with DJ Benden and he has been asked to play on a truck on the next edition of the Fast Forward Parade in Rotterdam. Beside all his bookings he will do some more gigs in France, the place where it all started…

Miss Yetti’s musical career began in 1992 in Germany’s Rheinland Her first public appearance was at the “Orion Rave”. Gigs in Germany and the first international bookings followed, as well as residencies at the legendary “UFO Club” and at “Fisch” in Cologne.

In 1994 Miss Yetti produced her first tracks for Liquid Records. Her unmistakable style clearly reflects her musical socialisation. Depeche Mode, The Cult, Tears for Fears, Nitzer Ebb and Front 242 all feature strongly. With a passion, she combines dark and melancholic sounds with hypnotic techno and electro.

In the mid-1990s, Miss Yetti rocked clubs worldwide with her tracks “La Pression Innovative” und “Les Jeux Superieurs”. In 1995 Miss Yetti began her own regular nights at the “Wartesaal” in Cologne, which offered the party scene a musical niche somewhere between house, electro and dark techno. Further releases followed in 1996 and 1997 on the Berlin labels “Monokultur” and on “Liquid Rec” respectively, as well as a multitude of international bookings.

In 1998, Miss Yetti founded her own label “Gold und Liebe Tonträger” in order to give her own musical vision a platform. Artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, Johannes Heil, Robert Görl (D.A.F.), David Caretta, Ellen Allien and other top names have contributed tracks, co-operations and remixes and all of this can be heard on Gold und Liebe Tonträger. The careful selection of these artists leads to a highly exciting mixture of the most diverse styles in the field of electronic music. Miss Yetti’s fans voted her best female DJ in 1999 in Raveline Magazine. In 2001 Miss Yetti spent 6 months in Bali and recorded her impressions on the 12″ ¬ “Miss Yetti & Die Zauberer, Helden”. She then mixed her first solo mix CD for XXX, Austria.

Miss Yetti’s 1993 Gold und Liebe release “Ganz Nah” ushered in a new creative period. “Hedonism and Digital sex” followed in April 2003 and developed quickly into an underground hit. In September 2003, Miss Yetti released her first album “Out Of Control” and began her “Out Of Control World Tour”. The “Out Of Control” album remixes followed on Gold und Liebe Tonträger.

In 2004 and 2005, Miss Yetti produced further tracks for Gold und Liebe, for Pale Music and for David Caretta’s label “Spacefactory Disques”. Additionally, she mixed her “Gold und Liebe” label compilation, delivering an overview of the label’s bandwidth. Miss Yetti’s preference for mixes that transcend conventional style categories is something that is present in all her music. The compilation is a journey from tech-house, via electro and on to dark techno deliberately melancholic but also pumping and bass-heavy.

The “Labyrinth” 12″, taken from the second album “Insights”, was released in February 2006 and includes remixes by Frank Martiniq and the Icelandic act, Suitcase. Miss Yetti’s “Insights” album release followed in April 2006.

Miss Yetti’s remix of DAF Robert Görl’s “Seltsame Liebe” came out on her label “Gold und Liebe”. Miss Yetti’s remix of 2rare-people’s “Naked Body” appeared in October 2006 on the “Blackout” label from Barcelona. Her track “Spanish Fly” was released in September on the Spanish label “Properproud”.

The successful release of Miss Yetti’s Album “Insights” was followed in October by Part 1 of the album remixes, with remixes by: Pantone, P.toile, Silversurfer and Andre Kraml.

Slick Chick is a 27 year-old disco-freak from Rotterdam. She started playing records about seven years ago. At the time she and her friends were throwing nonprofit parties in dirty warehouses throughout the Netherlands and beyond. Soon she got the hang of it and started to play at her own parties. She played hard and straightforward industrial techno and acid at the time, which originated in England and was spreading over the Dutch squat scene in the late nineties.

After a while her attention started to shift towards other styles of music and soon she became fascinated by the robotic sound of the synthesizer disco produced in early eighties by artist like Giorgio Moroder. So she started to dig deeper in her quest for the more obscure sound of disco music. This has resulted in a rare collection of italo disco, spacedisco, new wave, synthpop and old Chicago house-classics as well as The Hague electronics today.

She has played the decks at various clubs in her hometown and the rest of Holland. She is also one of the deejays at the Chicks on Technics-parties in Rotterdam.

She gets her inspiration from artists like Loud e, David Vunk and I-f and his former radio station CBS, which has now made room for the new Intergalactic FM.

Mike Ravelli was born December 17, 1983 in Haarlem, the Netherlands. As a little boy his ears were drawn by the sounds of the Jazz music his dad liked to play. He tried to imitate the solos on the family piano, but looked like a mad man instead. Therefore his parents made him take piano lessons and, as the years passed by, he learned to love making music just as much as listening to it. In the early 90’s, dance music started to take over Mike’s interests. He started buying the “Turn up the Bass” and “House Party” cassettes, playing them over and over again on his small Hitachi stereo.

As the years went by, Mike’s collection of CD’s and singles grew rapidly. And as different kinds of dance-music evolved, so did his musical taste, eventually covering almost every corner of electronic music. Noticing his passion for dance music, his Economics teacher, a DJ himself, gave Mike a CD called “Mix Up” by Jeff Mills. Overwhelmed by the continuous, monotone motion of the early Detroit sound, Mike knew that, one day, he was destined to be a DJ himself.

Without even having DJ equipment, Mike started frequenting the local record store, listening and buying records from techno artists like Richie Hawtin, Gaetano Parisio and Ben Sims. At the age of 17, Mike managed to move to a place for his own. In his small room, he quickly bought the equipment he needed to let his DJ career take off.

With invitations in small bars and parties at friends’ places, he managed to bring his music out in the open very quickly. And even though his energetic, minimal techno sound kept the crowd dancing for hours, Mike felt he needed to make a switch to a more enchanting style of music. He started buying records with a more sophisticated sound, most of them coming from smaller labels in Germany. His first trips to techno capital of the world Berlin handed him the final confirmation: this kind of music was the music he was longing for.

Appearing on the legendary Familieweekend in the summer of 2005, he entered a new phase in his life as a DJ. With his six-hour marathon set he surpluses all expectations, claiming a place as a DJ in the Gasten Zonder Grenzen collective, widely known for their wild (after) parties in the area of Amsterdam. As a partner of underground heroes like Ille Bitch and De Man Zonder Schaduw, he now found his own space in the Dutch scene.

The year 2006 was a complete turn around for Mike. After playing in several clubs and venue’s, other people started to see his talents as well. This resulted in recidency’s at Club Stalker, Gasten Zonder Grenzen and a weekly radio show on Livesets.com. To top it all of, international gigs are on the agenda as well. Being only twenty-two years of age, it seems Mike’s dreams of a professional DJ career are now only a matter of time…

Kadiks describes his sound as deep (tech) house with a techno structure. Without using too many borders these are the associated words: deep, low (120 -124) BPM, energetic, techno-structured, warm.

In the future Kadiks will concentrate more on producing, but most of all he will seize everything that comes on his way in the industry of House Music.

For those who can’t wait 5 days for their next house music fix, Weekbreek is the new midweek party happening on every second Wednesday of the month from 6pm till 11 pm. Featuring some of Amsterdam’s finest house talent spinning deep energetic and innovative sounds. Weekbreek kicked off with the likes of Nunos dos Santos, Darko Esser, Eva Maria & Martine, Pitto and at Qnight it was Estroe to light up the dance floor.

Thanks to the collaboration with Extrema Music, every Weekbreek event guarantees to provide house fanatics with only the most talent to play alongside resident DJ Kadiks to satisfy their midweek ravings.
Set in the former Volkskrant at the Wibaustraat in Amsterdam, this appropriately laidback and intimate setting provides the perfect backdrop for some early evening house music.

This weeks podcast is mixed by Swiss Keno Records label boss David Keno, who describes his music as very floor-oriented but often with a certain melodic touch.

If you want to hear David play and you are around Amsterdam on the 9th of April check out “Little Mountain Rocks” in the Melkweg. René Amesz, Sander Kleinenberg and David himself will rock your socks off without a doubt!
