“Aquaman” actor Jason Momoa has been seen drifting through downtown Toronto streets on a bike rented from Blackbridge Harley-Davidson in Cambridge.
The celebrity motorcycle enthusiast met with Blackbridge staff during a star-studded delivery last weekend.
Momoa, who has a partnership with Harley-Davidson Motor Company and has directed promotional videos for the brand, rented a couple of LiveWire bikes from the Cambridge dealership to use while he’s in town. LiveWire is the company’s first electric motorcycle, which was released in fall 2019.
Blackbridge co-owner and operations director Erin Mitchell and a licensed LiveWire technician drove the electric bikes down the 401 to meet the “Game of Thrones” star in Toronto on Saturday.
“This weekend was a wild one!” wrote Blackbridge in a Facebook post.
“Thanks for showing us the collection of your bikes and being a gracious host!” the company said, addressing the actor. “Enjoy the bikes!”
Momoa is downtown shooting the second season of “See,” an Apple TV+ science fiction survival series.
Michelle Sullivan, Blackbridge Harley-Davidson’s marketing and operations manager, told the Cambridge Times that the dealership was “pleased to help out” when the request came in from Momoa’s team.
Sullivan says the bike shop has a “demo all day, every day” approach, with an entire fleet of motorcycles available for rent from $150 and up, provided that the customer has an M2 or M license.
So if you’re in Toronto while “See” wraps up filming, keep your eyes out for a superhero on a souped-up local ride.
