Law360 (November 2, 2020, 9:54 PM EST) — Booking.com, Orbitz and other travel companies asked the Eleventh Circuit Monday to dismiss a class action against them that claims the companies are unlawfully profiting from reservations at hotels built on family property seized by the Fidel Castro regime in Cuba.
A Florida federal judge dropped the case in May, ruling that the court had no jurisdiction to try the case, and the travel companies want the appellate court to uphold the district court’s decision.
